Current personal or leadership goals: To share the transformational power of God’s love as widely and joyfully as I can for as long as I can.
If you could describe your Leadership Charlotte experience in three words or phrases what would they be?
Eye-opening, collaborative, community-building
What advice that you would you give to current Leadership Charlotte participants?
Savor this opportunity! Listen attentively to every voice, ask meaningful questions, and build relationships to help make a great city even better.
What’s a lesson that you learned through LC that has stuck with you and why?
Leadership Charlotte reinforced my belief in the strength of collaboration and innovation to solve the deepest problems that face our communities. We need never work in isolation, and we are foolish to think difficult problems cannot be solved because we alone cannot see a solution. LC reminds us that collectively we can make a profound difference.
Favorite way to spend a weekend in Charlotte:
Downtown! It includes stops at the Bechtler, the Mint, and the Museum of the New South—with an amazing lunch at Mert’s thrown in. I’d see a show at Spirit Square or sit on the grass at Bearden Park, or, if I’m really lucky, take in a double-header with the Knights.
