The Leadership Charlotte program is our flagship program and is a “backstage pass” to the Charlotte community. It is a two-part program, starting with ten, once-a-month program days where approximately 50 participants explore current issues with a variety of community leaders. The program is complete after participants serve on a committee that coordinates one of these program days for the incoming class.
ENCOUNTER Charlotte is an orientation to Charlotte and to community leadership. This program is open to newcomers to Charlotte and to anyone who simply wants to get involved in our community. We hold this twice a year: once in the Fall and once in the Spring. Participants learn first hand from a wide range of community leaders about what makes Charlotte work. Participants will come away with new relationships, a greater knowledge of our local community, and specific ways they can make a difference in our community.
Every year Leadership Charlotte honors Charlotte’s stars: those people who make our community a better place to live. A legacy is a gift left behind meant to nurture what remains. Leadership Charlotte hopes to leave a community leadership legacy through our alumni from the past 38 years. Additionally, the stellar work of our Legacy Award honorees signifies legacies that will make Charlotte shine for years to come.
