Elizabeth McKee

Elizabeth McKee has led Leadership Charlotte since 2007 as Executive Director. She is a proud graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 25. During her interim, she has guided and facilitated the organization’s programs for thousands of leaders. For the past nineteen years, she has worked as an educator and leader for non-profit organizations. As former Director of Leadership Initiatives at McColl School of Business, Queens University of Charlotte, NC, she developed and implemented leadership curriculum programs for both undergraduate studies and MBA programs.

She continues to develop her own leadership skills through travel and challenge. Elizabeth and her husband, William, trekked to Mount Everest Base Camp, in 2012, with Vertical, S.A. and summited Mount Kilimanjaro with them in September 2017.

A native of Lumberton, NC, Elizabeth received a B.A. from Elon University and an M.A. from Appalachian State University.


Kris Taylor

A graduate of Leadership Charlotte 36, Kris is the former Director of Victim Services at Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center. During her seven-year tenure at Pat’s Place, Kris developed successful programming for direct client services and built and maintained deep relationships with numerous Mecklenburg County multidisciplinary team partners. Prior to her work with Pat’s Place, Kris served in varying non-profit roles with A Child’s Place, Wake Health Services and Piedmont Health Services.

Kris obtained her B.A. in Spanish and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 and her Master of Social Work in 2009 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Kris is a native of Cabarrus County and has resided in Charlotte since 2004.  She loves spending time with her nephews, Corbin and Tucker, and her beloved French Bulldog, Lola.

Jennifer Briggs

A native Texan and graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Jennifer Briggs has a background in corporate finance. After almost ten years of managing budgets and financial forecasts for American Airlines and Bank of America, she stepped away from Corporate America to raise two young daughters. She is active on the board of an elementary school PTA and a middle school PTA. She now serves LC on a part-time basis as bookkeeper and accountant. She and her family have called Charlotte home since 2001.
