What advice would you give to current Leadership Charlotte participants?
Embrace each day of activities as an opportunity to connect and grow in your knowledge of all that the Charlotte metro area has to offer individuals, professionals and the community. Take the time to connect with classmates, as they will continue to be a valuable resource to you professionally and personally in a multitude of ways.
How do you see Leadership Charlotte alumni getting involved in and why?
I am a big believer in mentoring and its value to professional and personal growth. Leadership Charlotte alumni become true community leaders, movers and shakers, who bring a wealth of experience, know-how and understanding to what it means to be an engaged citizen, corporate partner and advocate. I believe alumni could mentor on a group project level or individual level, adding further value to the class experience.
Greatest personal and professional accomplishments and why:
Without a doubt, my greatest personal accomplishment is being a parent blessed with three daughters who awe me each and every day as they have grown into adulthood. On a professional level, I am blessed to be doing what I love. I know that my personal and professional mission is to “inspire new thinking to empower positive change.” Through my company and its divisions, combined with this passion and purpose, I am rewarded through witnessing the difference being made on so many levels.
How has your life after Leadership Charlotte surprised you and why?
There is an undeniable connection of pride and purpose with anyone who has gone through the program. When you share you are an alumni, connections naturally continue to evolve in ways that expand opportunity, enlightenment and awareness.
