What advice would you give to current Leadership Charlotte participants?
Keep an open mind, respect other opinions, engage in open and honest conversations. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
What do you remember most vividly from your Leadership Charlotte experience and why?
I remember every program day that we had with Leadership Charlotte from the first day on the mountain to our graduation day. The friendships that I established during this time are a big reason for this. From my carpools with Mike and Judy to the conversations that we had as a group has help shaped me as a person and as a leader.
Favorite way to spend a weekend in Charlotte:
A day on the golf course with my friends. Grilling and relaxing with the family and worship service at Northside Church of Christ.
How has your life after Leadership Charlotte surprised you and why?
The friendships and lessons learned have stuck with me after all these years.
What do you hope to be doing differently in five years?
Retired and embarking on a new direction.
