If you could describe your Leadership Charlotte experience in three words or phrases what would they be?
Impactful, Enlightening and Fun
What advice that you would you give to current Leadership Charlotte participants?
I would recommend spending time developing relationships with your class – they last a lifetime and will prove important as you develop your network in Charlotte.
What program day stands out in your memory and why?
The ridealong with the police department because I learned a lot about new areas of the city, the needs in key neighborhoods and the risks and sacrifices for police officers.
What do you remember most vividly from your Leadership Charlotte experience and why?
I remember the retreats – they were special time with great classmates with whom I could talk and spend longer periods of time getting to know them and what they cared about. We had fun too – some karaoke!
Topic or area in Charlotte that you would like to learn more about and why:
I would like to learn more about Charlotte’s music scene. There are some new clubs (or there were pre covid) that would be fun to drag my husband out to and explore.
What do you hope to be doing (differently) in five years?
I hope I will be picking up my former hobbies in the arts – playing piano or amateur painting.
