Diatra Fullwood (LC40)

Name: Diatra Fullwood

Leadership Charlotte (LC) Class: 40

Title/Company: Director of Alumni & Operations, Leadership Charlotte

Hometown: Morganton, NC

Education: North Carolina State University

Current personal or leadership goals:  During this time in our country, personally, I want to do as much as I can to remain healthy and safe. I try to walk 5-6 times per week for at least 90 minutes & practice yoga.

How did your Leadership Charlotte experience affect what you’re doing today?   Wow, had I not been in LC40, I would not have connected with Elizabeth and been provided the opportunity to be on staff at Leadership Charlotte.

How has your life after Leadership Charlotte surprised you and why?   Matt Susong and I were co-chairs for the LC40 Socials and for the Closing Weekend Auction. From that experience coupled with being a part of Leadership Charlotte, it made me realized what I’m most passionate about which is bringing my planning & organizing skills to a non-profit. I am surprised and excited that the non-profit ended up being Leadership Charlotte.

Favorite way to spend a weekend in Charlotte: If I am not in my garden planting flowers or vegetables, my sister and I have been visiting vineyards in the area that have great outdoor space for social distancing. So far my favorite is https://www.mountainbrookvineyards.com/.  I have to give a shout out to CRVA, my former employer, to encourage you to check out http://www.charlottesgotalot.com

What would you like to see Leadership Charlotte alumni get involved in and why?   Part of my role with Leadership Charlotte is fundraising, so I’d like for LC Alumni to remember the impact that Leadership Charlotte had on them and pay it forward to allow others to experience the camaraderie, the knowledge gained through program days and in many cases life changing moments.
