What advice that you would you give to current Leadership Charlotte participants?
Allow yourself to explore different perspectives from others that may not look like you or have the same background as you. Bring your full self to the LC process.
Greatest personal accomplishment and why:
Helping others meet their goals and helping them to pay it forward by continuing the process in having them help someone else along the way.
Topic or area in Charlotte that you would like to learn more about and why:
I would like to learn more about what our city is doing with Economic Development and upward mobility because Charlotte is growing at an accelerated pace and it’s important that our city is in a good place to sustain our growth for the future.
What’re you doing in the community these days?
As a board member on the South Chapter Charlotte Chamber, I’m working on engagement and growth initiatives in efforts to helping members in the Charlotte community get more involved in activities and becoming more aware of initiatives that’s on the horizon in efforts of shaping a better Charlotte.
How has your life after Leadership Charlotte surprised you and why?
I’ve been able to connect with more people better by going the LC program. In addition, I’ve had the opportunity of creating a platform for others that I know to be able to gain more insight into the mission of LC by inviting leaders from LC to my organization here in Charlotte. It was a very informative and engaging experience for employees at my firm to learn about the great things occurring through LC!
